Eric Dishongh serves as a minister for the Hickory Knoll Church of Christ in the Greater New Orleans area.
In conjunction with his ministry, Eric owns a private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor, serves as the Executive Director for Creative Family Solutions, and teaches Marriage and Family Therapy courses for the School of Human Services at Amridge University. He is a member of the Rotary Club of St. Charles Parish and Louisiana Counseling Association.
Eric received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amridge University. His dissertation is titled, "Appreciative Christian Therapy: A Theological Paradigm to Facilitate Positive Change in Couples." He also received a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible & Religion from Harding University.
Eric resides in Luling, Louisiana, with his wife, Mitzi, and two children, Brayden and Breanna. Eric enjoys coaching youth sports, cooking, playing golf, and watching the New Orleans Saints.
