Eric Dishongh serves as a minister for the Hickory Knoll Church of Christ in the Greater New Orleans area.
In conjunction with his ministry, Eric owns a private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor, serves as the Executive Director for Creative Family Solutions, and teaches Marriage & Family Therapy and Professional Counseling courses for the School of Education & Human Services at Amridge University.
Eric is an active member of the Rotary Club of St. Charles Parish where he serves as Chairman of the Alligator Festival and President of the Scholarship Foundation.
Eric received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amridge University. His dissertation is titled, "Appreciative Christian Therapy: A Theological Paradigm to Facilitate Positive Change in Couples." He also received a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible & Religion from Harding University.
Eric resides in Luling, Louisiana, with his wife, Mitzi, and two children, Brayden and Breanna. Eric enjoys cooking, playing golf, watching the New Orleans Saints, and creating fun social media videos as The Cajun Italiano.
